Description

Captured ships: St Peter of Amsterdam [Peter Cornelisen] and Charity of Amsterdam [master unknown].

History: two of a fleet of about 60 Dutch ships found on 2 June 1667 off the Ness of Norway by HMS Sweepstakes (Francis Sander commanding), the St Peter being abandoned by thecrew before capture; after damage in a violent storm were brought into Hull.
