Description

Prisoner name: William Crocker.

Prisoner age: 18 or 19.

Court and date of trial: Somerset Lent Assizes, Taunton, April 1837.

Crime: Burglary in dwelling house of William Poole of Bridgwater.

Initial sentence: Death, commuted to transportation for life.

Gaoler's report: Character suspected to be bad. In custody before.

Annotated (Outcome): Nil.

Petitioner(s): William Poole, the prosecutor, and 43 inhabitants of Bridgewater. William Crocker of Bridgwater, plasterer, the prisoner's father.
