Captured ship: La Vierge Marie of Pont-Croix (master Alain Le Borgne otherwise Alaiz Le Born).
History: a French merchant ship (30 tons, 5 men), bound from San Sebastian to Audierne, laden with rosin, tar and deal boards; taken on 1/12 June 1747 in the Bay of Arcasson by the privateer Cumberland (John Mauger commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
