Captured ship: Nuestra Señora del Pilar of Portugalete (commander Manuel del Casal or del Casar).
History: a Spanish privateer (80 tons, 16 guns, 81 men), bound from Portugalete on a cruise; taken on 30 April / 11 May 1742 50 leagues west of Ushant by HMS Hound (Joseph Cooper commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
