Captured ship: Nuestra Señora de Oliveira of La Orotava (master Antonio Garrett).
History: a Portuguese ship, bound from Tenerife to Baiona [Bayonne], laden with wine; taken on 22 July 1743 between Caminha and Vigo by HMS Anglesea (John Brett commanding) and HMS Fly sloop (Thomas Williams commanding), and brought into Lisbon. The vessel had false papers and the real ship's papers were thrown overboard before capture.
