Description

Captured ship: Louis Le Quinzieme of Dunkirk (master Joseph Billevell or Billevelt).

History: a French frigate (150 tons,10 guns, 27 crew and 180 soldiers for the Jacobite cause); taken on 12 November 1745 at Montrose, Scotland by HMS Milford (Thomas Hanway commanding), and brought into Leith.
