British New York Vice-Admiralty Court.
Captured ship: Swallow of Baltimore (master William Williamson).
History: an American merchant ship (schooner, 45 tons, 11 men), bound from St Croix to Baltimore, laden with rum, salt, wine, sugar and tea; taken on 24 February 1783 off Cape Henry in latitude 35°N, longitude 70°W by the privateer Eagle (George Bennison commanding), and brought into New York.
Court papers: 1-5; Ship's papers: 6-14.
