British New York Vice-Admiralty Court.
Captured ship: Swallow of Virginia (master Edward Bosman or Bozeman).
History: an American merchant ship (schooner, 37 tons, 7 men), bound from Hampton, Virginia to St Eustatius, laden with tobacco; taken on 11 May 1780 in latitude 37°N, longitude 74°W by the privateer Sir George Collier (Alexander McPherson commanding), and brought into New York.
Court papers: 1-6; Ship's papers: 7-8.
