Captured ship: Salisbury (master John Odiorne).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (schooner, 50 tons, 6 men, a British ship condemned in a Massachusetts maritime court in 1780) bound from Newbury, Massachusetts to Cap François, Saint Domingue, laden with lumber, fish; taken on 12 June 1781 in Boston Bay, Massachusetts by HMS Assurance (William Swiney commanding) and HMS Amphitrite (Robert Biggs commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
