Captured ship: San Juan Bautista (otherwise San Juan Bautista y Aquilla or San Juan Bautista and Aguila Escondida (master Juan Antonio de Sarria).
History: a Spanish merchant ship (brig, 65 or 100 tons, 7 men), bound from Malaga to Hamburg, laden with wine; taken on 30 June 1779 in latitude 49°50'N, by HMS Hector (Sir John Hamilton commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
Court papers: 1-89; Ship's papers: 90-114.
