Captured ship: Rittenhouse (master Ambrose Bartlett).
Capture history: a Loyalist American merchant ship bound from Lisbon to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, laden with Portuguese half Johannes; taken on 27 December 1775 near Capes of Virginia by HMS Raven (John Stanhope commanding), and brought into Cockspur Island, Savannah River, Georgia. An appeal: moved to HCA 45/145/7.
