Captured ship: Lurana of Boston (master James Haydon).
History: an American merchant ship (brigantine, 120 tons, 10 men), bound from the Rappahannock River, Virginia to Amsterdam, laden with cotton cordage and sail and 115 hogheads of tobacco; taken on 3 July 1782 about 4 leagues from the Texel by HMS Alcmene (James Douglas commanding) and HMS Kite (John Peyton commanding), and brought into London.
Court papers: 1-7; Ship's papers: 8-15. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
