Captured ship: Lucretia or Lauretia (master John Miller).
History: an American merchant ship (sloop, 40 tons, 7 men) bound from New Providence to New Haven, Connecticut, laden with salt, fruit and logwood; taken on 31 August 1782 in latitude 36°5'N, by HMS Marlborough (Taylor Penny commanding), and brought into New York.
