Captured ship: La Légère of Dunkirk (commander George Fermald).
History: a French privateer (50 tons, 8 guns, 38 men), bound from Dunkirk on a cruise; taken on 11 December 1782 in Mounts Bay, Cornwall by HMS Daedalus (Thomas Pringle commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
Court papers: 1-4; Ship's papers: 5-20. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
