Captured ship: Blessing of Tenby (master John Reed).
Capture history: a Welsh merchant ship (110 tons, 5 men, in ballast); taken about 4 leagues off Lands End on 19 June 1779 by the American privateer Black Prince (Stephen Merchant commanding) and sent in for Roscoff, retaken on 21 June 1779 by HMS Quebec (George Farmer commanding), and HMS Unicorn (John Ford commanding), and brought into Guernsey.
