Captured ship: St Barthelemy (master Philibert Isnard).
History: a French merchant ship (polacre, 180 tons, 8 guns, 23 men), bound from St Pierre, Martinique to Marseilles, laden with sugar, coffee, cotton, cocoa, and hides; taken on 4 July 1778 in latitude 46°N by HMS Prince George (William Fox commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
Court papers: 1-16; Ship's papers: 17-74. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
