Captured ship: De Baronesse von der Horst (master Casper Neumann).
History: a Prussian merchant ship (100 lasts or 200 tons, 7 men), bound from Rouen to Bordeaux, laden with glass, chalk, plaster of Paris; taken on 29 May 1780 off the Isle of Wight by the privateer Oxford (John Sargent commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
Court papers: 1-23; Ship's papers: 24-41. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
