Captured ship: Aurora (master Samuel Gerrish).
Capture history: an American merchant ship with a letter of marque (130 tons, 16 men) bound from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to Guadeloupe, laden with fish and lumber; taken on 14 June 1780 in latitude 31°N, longitude 54°W by HMS Cerberus (Robert Man commanding), and brought into Falmouth.
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
