Folios 442-443: Henry Edward Napier, HMS Rifleman, Spithead. Reports that HMS Rifleman has been 34 days on her passage from Halifax charged with Dispatches for their Lordships from Rear Admiral Edward Griffith, which have been forwarded by Post this day. On HMS Rifleman's departure there remained in Halifax:- HMS Bulwark, HMS Centurion, HMS Ackbar, HMS Maidstone, HMS Plover, HMS Arab, HMS Borer, HMS Jaseur, HMS L'Espoir and HMS Charybdis - HMS Borer was to have sailed a few days after HMS Rifleman and HMS Bulwark about the same time. HMS Rifleman has had no communication with any Vessel on her passage except the Louisa Packet bound to Barbados who she spoke, off the Lizard on 27 June 1815. He encloses HMS Rifleman's Log [not present] State and Condition [not present] Sick Report, Defects, List of Dispatches received, and His Orders from Rear Admiral Edward Griffith with directing him to lend Mr George Johnstone Surgeon to HMS Maidstone for the purpose of attending a Court Martial as a witness, Mr Gray Assistant Surgeon of HMS Bulwark having been lent to do the Duty in his absence.

Folio 445: enclosure with folios 442-443. Weekly Report of the Sick and Wounded in HMS Rifleman between 25 June 1815 and 2 July 1815. Signed Thomas Gray - Acting Surgeon.
Folio 446: enclosure with folios 442-443. Letter dated 7 June 1815 by [Rear Admiral] Edward Griffith, HMS Bulwark, Halifax, to Henry Edward Napier, HMS Rifleman. States a Seaman of HMS Maidstone who is about to be tried by a Court Martial for the Murder of another Seaman belonging to HMS Maidstone, having represented that Mr George Johnstone [Acting] Surgeon on HMS Maidstone is one of the principal evidences whom he intends to bring forward in his defence. [Order] You are to lend Mr George Johnstone of HMS Maidstone for the purpose of attending the above trial:- An Assistant Surgeon having been appointed to act in his room.

Orders to with all possible speed to Spithead, reporting your arrival to the Admiral Commanding there and deliver to him the Dispatches you received here for forwarding to London.
