Folios 51-52: enclosure with folios 49-50. Letter from J Dorett, Bruton Street to J. W. Croker dated 8 July 1810. Confirms that Captain Macnamara consulted him, his Medical Attendant, for an official report as to why he is prevented from joining his ship on 10 July when his leave expires. He has been very unwell with a severe rheumatic fever for some days. He is so debilitated, that in his opinion, that it renders him unable to travel without much risk. Hopes within a week to ten days that he will be sufficiently well as to carry out his duties.
