Description

Folios 160-161: Frederick Langford, HMS Fury, the Downs. Advises the cases of several impressed men. Edward Eavery, Mate, the Prosperous, produced no affidavit. Thomas Staples had served for 20 months on board HMS Kent. Peter Gowers has entered [voluntarily] HMS Fury. Adam Eavery produced no affidavit. Charles Lackford has entered [voluntarily] HMS Fury.

Folios 162-163: enclosed with folios 160-161. Letter dated 30 May 1803 by J Norman, London to the Admiralty. Asks for the discharge of Edward Eavery, Mate, the Prosperous, Thomas Staples, Mate the Violet, Peter Gowers, Mate , the Maritta, Adam Eavery, Mate the Betsy and Charles Lackford, Mate, the Mary Ann who were impressed by HMS Fury. Encloses affidavits.
