Folios 122-123: Richard Lucas, HMS Sphinx, the Coves of Cork. He gives an account of why the convoy of Infantry regiments and horses returned to Cork. He was assisted by Captain Riou, the Rose. The winds delayed their voyage and Leiutenant Sainthill, Agent for the Cavalry, reported that there was a shortage of forage. On his return he found that General Moucher, Officer Commanding Cork, had received orders for the delay of the convoy.
