Description

Folios 290-291: William Hugh Kittoe, Southampton. Acknowledges receipt of Admiralty letter enclosing one from Philip Nepen on subject of reward money for information given by him at Southampton Rendezvous respecting two Able Seamen. Confirms that Philip Nepen did lodge information about James Symonds and Jasper Hughes at this Rendezvous which resulted in their being impressed on 2 February. Did not believe authorised to pay the reward as the men were not sent to the Fleet but discharged from the Rendezvous by Admiralty Order of 8 February.
