Folios 566-567: Philip Hue, HMS Actaeon, Liverpool. Responding to Admiralty queries of 17 and 18 October regarding two men said to be Americans. He says that Peter Wilson was sent ashore to sick quarters on 1 January last and marked as Run on the 3rd, while William Cox was sent to sick quarters on 22 July, and marked as Run on 27th as per the enclosed note from Dr Cochrane. Adds that he is sorry to say very few men actually return after being sent to sick quarters.
Folios 568-569: enclosure with folios 566-567. Letter dated 28 October 1800 by Thomas Cochrane, MD, Liverpool, reporting that Peter Wilson, with venereal disease, and William Cox, with fever, had arrived and later deserted on the dates Hue gives.
