Folios 297-298: Sampson Edwards, HMS Saint George, Spithead. Received orders yesterday from the Earl of St Vincent to proceed as soon as possible to Spithead, taking with him the three ships HMS Defence, HMS Saturn, and HMS Mars. He was instructed to remain at Spithead until he receives further orders. Has now arrived with all 3 ships, and he encloses their state and condition [not enclosed].
