Folios 152-153: Benjamin Carter, Regulating Captain, Liverpool. Reports that a press gang commanded by Lieutenant Rees was over powered by a mob while trying to take two American seafarers and during the affray, a man died of a broken skull. A warrant has since been issued for the arrest of Connor, a midshipman of the gang for assault on the victim John Wright, an American seaman. Discusses the merits of the case at length.
