Folios 20-21: William Charlton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. In accordance with directions from Mr Barrow, returns a report on Peter Anderson of the Lyra tender and encloses a certificate, Peter Anderson was impressed on shore in Sunderland by Lieutenant Consitt[?] and after examination, passed by the Surgeon as fit for service, he is 30 years of age and has 18 years of service at sea.
Folio 22: enclosure in folios 20-21. Medical Certificate dated 7 November 1809 from William Hodgson, Surgeon of Bishopwearmouth stating that Peter Anderson, Marine, of Bishopwearmouth has consulted him over the last 3 or 4 years about his legs and groin having the appearance of a partial palsy and a hernia in the left groin.
Folios 23-24: enclosure in folios 20-21. Letter dated 11 November 1809 from J Cockerill of North Shields to the Admiralty states that the friends of Peter Anderson now detained on the Lyra tender, request permission to raise substitutes to procure his discharge as he has a family of 4 small children and is of good character.
