Folios 189-191: enclosure in folios 188-189. Letter dated 12 November, 1799 by John Legat, Surgeon, HMS Overyssel, the Downs, to Captain John Bazely, HMS Overyssel. Asks to be paid the same allowance for supernumeraries as Surgeons on HMS Royal William and HMS Cambridge and other ships employed in the same service. He has been put to considerable expense treating those supernumeraries lately received from French prisons.
