From G W Martin. It does not appear practicable to carry on the duties of the Transport Department without changing the present appointment of Committees of this Board. Make proposals for Membership of Committees of Correspondence, Accounts and Stores and Transport. In the case of Accounts and Stores, it appears desirable to give immediate superintendence to each Branch to separate Commissioners. Suggest Mr Bouverie and Mr Stewart for Accounts and Mr Fraser and Mr Tucker for Stores. The Transport Committee should have have 2 Naval Officers. Mr Seppings, whose duties require frequent absence, is only proposed for that Committee until some other arrangement can be made.
