Petition by Charles Foster and Edward Williams giving details of their service and referring to their superannuation of £40 per year, whereas another officer in similar circumstances is to receive double that amount. They were both able bodied and willing to continue their duties. They had large families and would be in distress through being unexpectedly superannuated at so small a pension. Recommend either increasing the amount of their pensions or for them to be allowed to resume their duties in the dockyard.
