Description (What the record is about)

Certificate by Lambert, late captain of the Iphigenia, that C Vickery served as Master's Mate on board that ship from 27 May 1808 to 19 May 1810, when he was sent in charge of the American Ship, Thomas, for the Cape of Good Hope, for adjudication for a breach of blockade. 8 days later Mr Troubridge, Master of that ship, shot Mr Vickery in his back, of which wound he died 4 days later.
