- Folio 183. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board. He replies to their letter of 27 June 1848 reference S3974/1848 on the subject of the proportion of £418 2s 8d paid in relief to irremovable poor and included under the head of 'common charges' for the half year ending Lady Day last. The sum is included both under the head of 'in maintenance and outrelief' and that of 'common charges'. Annotated: noted, nil. S4307/1848.
