William Marsden. In October 1803, Sir Evan Nepean advised that Captain Bowen, one of the Commissioners of the transport Service, was sent to Dublin to take up vessels for the defence of the coast of Ireland. W. Fearnall, Foreman Afloat at Deptford, was to accompany him and assist him. Captain Bowen has now returned leaving Mr. Fearnall in Dublin but he is now needed back in Deptford. Vice Admiral Whitehead has written to the Admiralty. Ask whether Mr. Fearnall is to remain in position.
