Description (What the record is about)
-
William Marsden. Daniel Smith, Purser of the Alarm, has asked to be allowed money for tobacco issued to the ship's company in 1793. As the price was reduced in November 1793 and the ship did not sail from Cork until March 1794, Mr. Smith might have been aware of the reduction before his claim, which was made in August 1796. Do not believe he is entitled.
