William Marsden. James Browell has claimed his pay for acting as the Purser of the Cleopatra. The ship's records show he served from November 1793 to his discharge in January 1797 as acting Purser. As the Purser of the ship was absent for more than 6 weeks, the whole time that Mr. Browell acted as such, he should be paid as Purser for the whole period on approval.
