Description

Copy of an affidavit sworn by Peter Burch, Gunner of the Holstein, stating that a 100 fathom cable was stolen from that ship on Tuesday night when only himself and the Carpenter, Andrew Hardy, was on board, the latter being sick. He reported the incident immediately to the Master Attendant, Mr Whidby.
