Description

Philip Stephens. Have directed the Deptford Officers to survey the Lord Shuldham for a storeship. Opine it is not adviseable to purchase her as it will take more time to repair her for the service than our orders for readiness permit. In order to replace her, we are treating for the purchase of an Indian ship, lately returned from her 4th voyage, which will fit as soon as possible after she is purchased and cleared of her cargo.
