Philip Stephens. Lieutenant Charles Caesar, late of the Rippon has sent a letter representing he cannot receive his own and servant's wages for her from May to October 1776, as they are not on her books and asks that as they were employed on her for that time, for orders to be given for them to be inserted in the books. As the Lieutenant did not appear to the Rippon, he is not entered in her books but there being a vacancy for a 2nd Lieutenant for the time, opine he and his servant may be entered without their appearance as desired.
