Copy letter from Mr. Snell, Clerk of the Cheque at Portsmouth to the Board. Has placed an R against the name of Mr. Stockdale, Chaplain of the Resolution, on the 4th when he was absent from his duty. Because he has not been Run before, the Officer answered for him at the muster but he was absent without leave on that day and Sir Chaloner Ogle informed me of it. He was marked absent and at the next muster of the 11th, be re-appeared.
