Philip Stephens. Sir Chaloner Ogle, Captain of the Resolution and Mr. Stockdale, her Chaplain, have written explaining his absence from duty. As he had no leave of absence, the Clerk of the Cheque is to place an R against his name agreeable to standing orders. Have asked why he neglected to comply. The Clerk of the Cheque has replied to our query and are sending a copy.
