- Folios 204-205. Letter from William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, acknowledging receipt of the circular dated 25 September 1839 which called for returns under various headings of the number of paupers relieved, and directing him to the quarterly abstract 1311 to assist with the return. He has compared the headings in the quarterly abstract with those on the return and can find no correlation. He asks for the Commission's assistance. Annotated: Defer for 10 days Paper Number: 7550/A/1839.
