- Folio 198. Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to William Powell, Clerk to the Guardians of the Newport Pagnell Poor Law Union acknowledging receipt of his letter of 13 June 1839. The letter requires the officers of the parish of Olney to enquire whether there are any outstanding claims of a nature contemplated by the Act 1 and 2 Vic c 25 and to settle these claims first. If there were no such claims the Poor Law Commission would sanction the use of the proceeds of the sale of parish houses to be used as requested on receipt of further information regarding the sale. Paper Number: 4638/A/1839.
