Draft letter from the Poor Law Commission to William Ashton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Basford Poor Law Union, requesting that he puts before the board of guardians the enclosed extracts [not included] from the report of [J Riley], Auditor of the union, respecting the existing arrears in the treasurers accounts and the unfinished state of the medical officers schedules. They ask for an explanation for the continuance of the irregularities. Paper Number: 7835/B/1841. Poor Law Union Number 334. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
