Folios 32-33. A report from Mr J Manwaring, Eagle Hall, Ripon, [Yorkshire North Riding], District Auditor, to the Poor Law Commission, detailing various sums of money from the Keighley Poor Law Union accounts that have been disallowed. The accounts had been compiled by Mr Edward Sutcliffe, Relieving Officer. The details refers to Keighley, Steeton, Haworth, Bingley and Morton. They concern journeying to Skipton, constables bills and fees, monies for vagrants, stationers bills, valuation expenses etc. Refers particularly to the relief of Betty Smith and the bills of Hannah Foster. Acknowledgement dated 1 Feb 1847 sent from the Poor Law Commission Office to Mr Manwaring. Paper Number: 2004/B/1847. Poor Law Union Number 571. Counties: Yorkshire West Riding.
