Content
Folios 255-256. Letter from W and E Willoby [William Willoby and Edward Willoby], Clerks to the Guardians of the Berwick-upon-Tweed Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. It informs of the appointment of medical officers and refers to previous correspondence concerning the arrangement of districts covered. 1. Dr. Samuel Edgar was appointed to the Berwick district. 2. Mr Morrison was reappointed to the Tweedmouth district. 3. Mr Park was appointed to the Norhamshire district. The appointments are from 25 March 1839 to 25 March 1840 subject to a month's notice should legislation alter the system of medical relief. Annotated: John Walsham - for his opinion. Approved and confirmed. Paper Number: 1901/B/1839. See also 1581B/1839. Town and County of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland and North Durham [detached].
