Folios 204-208. Letter from R M Hodge [Richard Michell Hodge], Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, enclosing emigration papers. He informs them of a resolution by the guardians to pay £15. Emigration form A relating to a 'Notice of meeting to consent to raising or borrowing money for emigration purposes', for the parish of Kenwyn in the Truro Poor Law Union, signed by George Cornish, Minister; John Clark and William Barrett, Churchwardens; Jacob Trewartha and J G Hicks, Overseers. 9 September 1841. Emigration form B relating respectively to a 'Resolution entered in Vestry Book' for the parish of Kenwyn in the Truro Poor Law Union, signed by George Cornish, Chairman. George Cornish, Minister; John Clark and William Barrett, Churchwardens; Jacob Trewartha and J G Hicks, Overseers, with no witness signature. Emigration form C relating to a 'Certificate of Minister, Churchwardens and Overseers of the Forms of the Act having been complied with' for the parish of Kenwyn in the Truro Poor Law Union. Signed by George Cornish, Minister; John Clark and William Barrett, Churchwardens; Jacob Trewartha and J G Hicks, Overseers, with no witness signature. 16 September 1841. A list and description of those persons seeking to emigrate from Kenwyn in the Truro Poor Law Union to New Zealand. Those listed are John Allen, labourer, William Allen, James Allen, John Allen, Charles Allen, Peter Allen, Samuel Allen, Andrew Allen, Sarah Allen, wife of labourer and Janet Allen Annotated: Mr Lumley [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Commission]; if correct issue order; rate emigration order sent; 15 copies Paper Number: 8908/A/1841. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall.
