Description
Content
Folios 176-178. Letter from W Coryton Kempe [William Coryton Kempe], Tregony to the Poor Law Commission, referring to Ball's [Nicholas Ball] claim against Tregony, in the Truro Poor Law Union. He complains that he has had no communication from them since 19 June 1841, when they promised to write to the parish officers and write to him again on receipt of their reply. Consequently he has taken no further action. He points out that the documentation already forwarded justifies Ball's case. The parish officers recognise this and are prepared to adopt any suggestion made by the Commission to liquidate the debt. He asks on his own and their behalf how to proceed. Annotated: former papers; 5837 and 6807 referred to Mr Lumley [William Golden Lumley, Assistant Secretary to the Poor Law Commission]. [Folio 176 is marked 'Bill of costs 3 for 4 Guards'.] Paper Number: 7633/A/1841. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall.
