2 collective petitions (William Davenport and Elizabeth Davenport, the prisoner's parents and 43 people from Windsor) on behalf of John Davenport convicted at Windsor Quarter Sessions in April 1831 for larceny against Thomas Peirce. Grounds for clemency: ill in prison, parents had 21 children but prisoner is first to commit any offence, nothing taken from cellar of empty house he burgled. Initial sentence: 2 years imprisonment with hard labour. Annotated: nil. KQ 12
