Letter from G Shepherd with regard to John Hollett, William Ruck and John Wood committed on 26 February 1835 to St Augustine's House of Correction for 21 days' hard labour for breach of the peace in Faversham Workhouse [Kent] having expressed their 'desire to be sent to America'. Letter states the parish officers of Faversham have consented and paid a deposit to send them to America but their ship is due to sail next Sunday which is before their sentence will expire and therefore requests their immediate discharge. Initial sentence: 21 days hard labour in St Augustine's. Annotated: to be freed immediately. AV 43
