1 individual petition (James Shayle, master of prisoner) and accompanying letter from Charles Porter MP on behalf of George Dyche, apprentice, committed to the Stafford House of Correction [Staffordshire] in January 1835 for absenting himself from his master's service. Grounds for clemency: served 1 month of sentence, very repentant, promised to behave well in future, master willing to overlook offence. Initial sentence: 3 months hard labour in House of Correction. Annotated: remission. AV 36
